I have a memory of taking a picture of my Aunt Mimi underneath an avacado tree while in California when I was no more than three years old. Although everyone in my family has told me that there is no way that I can remember this, I do.

Needless to say, I have had the shutterbug for a long time.

During my freshman year of high school, I became so enthusiastic about the darkroom that I used to stay an hour or two after school just to develop film.

After living in Spain for one year, and becoming aware of the possibility of story telling though photography, I decided to attend the acclaimed Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, California.

Upon graduating, I was saddened by the news that my favorite U.S. city had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina and decided that it was my responsibility as a photojournalist to capture the rebuilding process. I have been living in New Orleans ever since and have become very active in the local music scene.

I find New Orleans to be the perfect place for a unique wedding because of its preserved Creole charm. It is the perfect backdrop for the most elegant wedding.
